Tie horizontal bars in continuous rows around the dome (see engineering for space requirements). These rows go all the way to the top. Fold the wire up and curl it around the rebar by hand or using pliers. When overlapping the rebar horizontally, they need to be overlapped at the proper length as specified in the engineering. Tie overlaps with wire loop ties using a "pig tailer."
Tension in the steel should be removed so rebar will stand without excessive pulling or pushing on the dome. Tie uprights to bottom rows of horizontal bars.
Extra Reinforcement SteelTie required reinforcing steel around any doorways or windows or other openings (the exact amount of reinforcement is determined by engineers.)
