Trinity DomeWarming up to Domes

Energy-efficient Monolithic Domes provide one of the very best housing solutions in areas that experience weather extremes. The thermal qualities of the concrete enable the building to maintain its interior temperature no matter what the weather is like outside. That’s among the features that will come in handy in the Canadian province of Alberta where dome builder Toby Neuendorf plans to construct 60 Monolithic Domes for oilsands workers who must endure temperatures that often dip below zero in the winter. In an interview with the Edmonton Journal, Neuendorf described the $6 million “luxury ecodome” project that he’s planning to build in Bruderheim, about 30 miles northeast of Edmonton.
