A Dome with a View: Cooper Dome Featured in the Newport News Times

John and Verlene Cooper’s Monolithic Dome in Yachats, Oregon is truly one-of a-kind. Comprised of four levels, the dome has several outdoor decks that overlook the Pacific Ocean. Inside, there is an elevator that quickly whisks the Coopers between their living quarters on the fourth level and their garage on the second level. In between are guest bedrooms along with a mini-kitchen. The bottom level houses an RV coach complete with a generator that could provide power to the home in case of an emergency. The dome is so unique, both inside and out, that it was recently the subject of a feature story in the Newport News Times.
