Newest Monolithic Dome Church Takes Shape in Alabama

by Carol Lanham
May 15, 2008

The newest Monolithic Dome church is taking shape in Dothan, Alabama where construction crews are working on a new campus for Northview Christian Church, a multi-cultural, interdenominational congregation with more than 2,000 members.

South Industries, Inc. of Menan, Idaho recently inflated the second of two Monolithic Domes that will be completed in Phase I. The first dome, measuring 190 feet in diameter and built on a 14-foot stemwall, was inflated last fall and will be used as a worship center and fellowship hall. The second dome will serve
as a multipurpose building. In Phase II of construction, Northview plans to build a third dome to house classrooms.
