21st Century Bandshell

Shown here is the traditional bandshell with the newly patented MCLAD* door from Monolithic.

*Monolithic Contoured Laterally Moveable Access Door (March 21, 2006 Patent number 7,013,607)– a single piece door that can be opened by rolling it around the surface of the Monolithic Dome Bandshell.

Consider all the advantages:

• It can be used any day of the year as an indoor building.
• Practices can go on inside with the door shut.
• The door can be opened for performances and closed immediately afterwards.
• The bandshell can be used either open or closed for small assemblies, performances, meetings, etc.
• The lighting, sound system, and sets can be left in place without fear of theft or weather deteriorating equipment or sets.

It can serve all of the functions of a superior bandshell and serve as a superior ancillary meeting hall. It becomes a truly multipurpose structure.

Obviously the cost of the structure will be more, but the cost per use will be far less.
